A few days updates

Sunday the JV came in first in their division and the V came in second. Yeah!!! I'm so proud of my girl :) They had a great time spending the night at Oak Grove high and participating in the two competitions. After we left on Sunday, we went out to eat with several other members families and good times were had by all. I was able to work on socks while waiting and the easter color socks are 3/4's complete. Pics will follow tomorrow.

I haven't worked on the May Day Socks this week as these take much more concentration than the plain easter socks -- i'm still at the heel flap portion.

I did finally finish plying the other bobbin of the Dicentra Designs fiber purchased in Destin. It is drying at the moment and a final yardage count will be made tonight. I know I have enough for a very long scarf and have a pattern in mind. I started the plying of the superwash merino purchased several months back. I spun these singles so fine that it will take a long time to ply. I sat at the wheel until 10:00 last night -- it was the first time in a long while. I listened to Pride & Prejudice on my Ipod while spinning and watched with Peyton the finale of one of her favorite shows, Americas Next Top Fashion Designer :) We were both disappointed with the results.
