The sunshine we have been experiencing makes for great fiber photos! I thought it would be a perfect time to take a pic of the May Day Socks in progress and was right... the light in this photo taken outside on the deck, shows the pattern better than any previous photo I've taken. I'm almost finished with the gusset portion and then it will be smooth sailing to finish the feet.
I finished spinning and two plying the lighter weight of the purple superwash. It turned out good, but I think for an inexperienced spinner like myself, navajo plying is the way to go. It seems to hide the inconsistencies in my singles. However, I'm pleased with this 2-ply result and am thinking about knitting another flower basket shawl with this yarn.


Another one for the stash - I couldn't resist ordering the Aspen Grove Shawl Pattern and yarn after seeing Carol's.
